Kalmar Fotbollsförening is a football club in Sweden, located in Kalmar. It was founded in 1910 and was initially named IF Göta, two years later their name was changed to IF Gothia and they became a member of Riksidrottsförbundet. In 1918 Kamraterna and IF Gothia merged and a newly formed team was named Kalmar Idrotts Sällskap and Kalmar AIK was formed as a result of the merger of Kalmar IK and Falken. The name of Kalmar Idrotts Sällskap was changed to Kalmar FF in 1927.
In 1927/28 the position of IFK Oskarshamn in the local league of the Swedish league system was given to Kalmar FF. Their Allsvenskan debut was made in 1949. The first half of 1950s they altered between Division 2 and Allsvenskan, but then they relegated and competed in Division 2 for twenty years. In 1975 they advance to the top flight and in 1977 they managed to finish the season on the third place.
Their first domestic achievement came in 1981 when they won Svenska Cupen, beating IF Elfsborg 4-0. Shortly after that they faced relegation, nevertheless they returned to the top flight in 1983. In 1985 Kalmar FF finished Allsvenskan runner-up but in 1987 the team relegated. Since then they competed either in Division 2 or in the top flight for a long period and in 2000s they began to buy new players. In 2003 became Superettan winners. In 2007 they were Allsvenskan runners-up and in 2008 they finally claimed the league victory.
Their home ground is Guldfågeln Arena, located in Kalmar. Its capacity is of 12,000.
