History and achievements
Leicester City F.C. is an English football club that was created in 1884 by the pupils of Wyggeston School. The first run of the team in the first division dates back to the season 1907/1908. Overall throughout its history the club played spent only one season outside the top two divisions of English football pyramid.
The best result in the league is the second place in the season 1928/1929, when the team lost just a point to the champion Sheffield Wednesday.
The first major silverware the team claimed in 1964 when they defeated Stoke 4 – 3 in the final of the League Cup. Overall Leicester history boasts 3 League Cups, 6 Second Division titles and a League one trophy. The club also finished four FA Cup campaigns as a runner-up.
The colors of the team are blue and white. The emblem of the team includes an image of a fox that was introduced in 1948 and symbolized the region of Leicestershire that is known for foxes and fox hunting. The home arena is King Power Stadium that can hold up to 32,262.
