Mirandés is a Spanish football club from the community Castile and León. The team was founded in May 1927. The first game of the team was a 1-0 win against Arabarra.
From the mid1940s to the late 1970s the team played in the third division. In 1977 the team was promoted to Segunda División B. The season 2011/2012 is considered the most successful in the club’s history. The team progressed to the semifinal of the national cup, eliminating Villarreal CF, Racing de Santander and RCD Espanyol and celebrated victory in the promotion play-offs, reching the second division.
The home arena of the team is Estadio Municipal de Anduva with a capacity of 6,000. It was opened in 1950.The most famous nicknames of the team are the Little Reds and the Young Wild Boar.
