Neftchi Farg’ona is an Uzbek club founded in 1962 in the city of Fergana.
For the first 30 years the side competed in the Soviet football leagues. With the breakup of the USSR the team got into the newly formed Uzbek League and compete there today. It’s a tidbit that Neftchi Fergana is one of several clubs along with Pakhtakor Tashkent and Navbahor Namangan to have participated in all the seasons of the Uzbek League since 1992. Neftchi claimed their first league title in an inaugural 1992 season and repeated the feat four times later on. They also welcomed two Uzbekistani Cups to their trophy cabinet in 1994 and 1996. Neftchi have also met with international success as they finished runners-up in the 1994 CIS Cup and third in the 1995 AFC Champions League.
The team play their home matches at Fargona Stadium which can hold up to 14,520 spectators.
