Odds Ballklubb is a Norwegian football club located in Skien. The side currently performs in Tippeligaen.
Odds Ballklubb came into being on March 31, 1885. It took its name from Orvar Odd, the protagonist of Viktor Rydberg’s novel Seierssverdet. The side has secured the record number of domestic cups in Norway. Odd lifted the Norwegian Cup on 12 occasions. Until 1999 the club languished in the lower divisions. The new millennium began with Oddrane’s promotion to Tippeligaen. The team’s 7-year stay in the main division came to an end as the club suffered relegation to Adeccoligaen. Odd returned to the Premier League the following season after the side secured automatic promotion with tree games to spare.
Odd players perform in black and white. The home ground is called Skagerak Arena with a seating capacity of 13,500 spectators.
