Pécsi MFC is a professional football club based in Pécs, Hungary. The side plays in the Nemzeti Bajnokság.
Pécsi MFC was born on February 16, 1973 out of the amalgamation of five clubs. In 1955 the club got promotion to the elite division. In the 1975/1976 season PMFC made the drop into National Championship II but reclaimed its place in the top flight the following season. From 1977 to 1997 Pécsi represented the top tier with distinction for two decades. In 1990 the team claimed the Hungarian Cup triumph. In 1990/1991 campaign the club participated in the European Cup Winners Cup. Pécsi MFC was drawn against Manchester United. The Hungarian side was thrashed by the English giant. In 2001 the side slipped into NB II but fought back, returning to the top division in 2003. PMFC experienced another relegation but again the team won HB II and joined the elite for the 2011/2012 season.
Pécsi MFC plays in red and black. The home pitch is called Stadion PMFC.
