Port Talbot Town is a football club in Wales. It has a long history, rooted back to 1901, and it is one of the oldest football clubs in Wales. Initially it was Port Talbot Athletic, competing in the Swansea Senior League until 1926, and the history of modern club began after World War II.
The team won promotion to the League of Wales in 2000 and the following season their name was changed to Port Talbot Town. In 2003/04 and 2006/07 the team advanced to the semifinals of the Welsh Cup.
In the 2007/08 they finished the Welsh Premier league fourth and in 2009/10 were third. That allowed the team to make debut in the UEFA Europa League, were they were eliminated by a Finnish team TPS Turku in the first qualifying round. In the 2009/10 season Port Talbot Town reached the final of the Welsh Cup, but were beaten by Bangor City 2-3.
Victoria Road is the team’s home venue. It has a capacity for 6,000 spectators and has 1,000 seats.
