RoPS or Rovaniemen Palloseura is a football club in Finland. It is based in Rovaniemi and its home ground is Keskuskenttä, which has a 2,500 seats and the total capacity is of 5,000.
The football club was founded in 1950. In 1988 and 1989 they reached the third place in the Finnish top division, in 1986 RoPS won the Finnish Cup. In 1987/88 the team reached the quarterfinal of the European Cup Winners' Cup, where they lost to Marseille.
During the decade between 1991 and 2001 they competed in the top division, Veikkausliiga, and since then either won promotion or relegated to Ykkönen. In 2010 RoPS competed in Ykkönen, then advanced to Veikkausliiga for 2011, but again dropped down. In the end of the 2012 season the team won promotion from the second division.
Throughout the first decade of 2000s RoPS was involved in the series of match-fixing scandals.
