MFK Ružomberok is a Slovak football club, founded in 1906. The team made its debut in the Slovak Second Division in 1993 and in 1997 won promotion to the top division of the Slovak football league system, Super Liga.
Ružomberok claimed their first trophies in 2006, winning the league title and the Slovak Cup. Erik Jendrišek helped the side to obtain those titles with 21 goals. The team got a chance to play in the UEFA Champions League, where they overcame Djurgårdens IF in the second round (3-2 on aggregate) and in the third qualifying round were eliminated by CSKA Moscow.
The team’s home ground is MFK Ružomberok Stadium, which has house 4,817 spectators.
