Spartak Myjava is a football team in Slovakia. It was established in 1920 and was named Športový klub Myjava. The club was founded by Samuel Vráblica, who was a merchant and club’s patron, and their first ground was constructed in 1931. The team was strengthened in 1937/38, in the second half of 1950s the ground was renovated and youth team was established. Up to the 1990s the team competed in regional leagues and after Slovakia became an independent state, the team advanced to the national league.
Spartak Myjava made its top division debut having won second division in the 2011/12 season. So 2012/13 is the team’s first ever top flight season.
