Spartak Nalchik is a football club in Russia, founded in 1935. Initially they competed in B class, regional tournament. Between 1965 and 1970 the team competed in the second group of A class. In 1971 Spartak was promoted to the Soviet First League, the second tier of the Soviet football league system, which had been re-formed by that time. They played there until 1976 and then dropped from it and advanced several times.
Between 1981 and 1991 Spartak competed in the Soviet second league (third tier). After the dissolution of the USSR the team was enlisted in the First League zone East. In 1993 they relegated to the third tier, the Russian Second Division, and after two seasons there they returned to the First division, where they played from 1996 and 2005. Between 2006 and 2012 Spartak Nalchik competed in the Premier League, but in 2012 they finished 16th and were relegated. In 2014 the club left FNL due to financial difficulties.
Spartak Stadium in Nalchik has a capacity of 14,400.
