1. FC Tatran Prešov is a football club in Slovakia, founded in 1898. It is the oldest football club in Slovakia. Initially it was named in Hungarian ETVE Prešov (Eperjesi Torna és Vívó Egyesület). The team hasn’t won the league title throughout its history nevertheless twice they finished runners-up (1965 and 1973). The team twice reached the finals of the Czechoslovakian Cup in 1966 and 1992.
1.FC Tatran Prešov has its current name since 2005, its home venue is Tatran Stadium. The stadium has 5,410 seats. Ladislav Pavlovič is the team’s eminent footballer, who played for the side between 1948 and 1966. He made 309 appearances and scored 150 goals.
