Tours FC is a football club in France, which is named after the city it is located in. It was formed in 1919 and initially had a name of AS Docks-du-Centre. In 1930 they began to compete at the professional level and in 1951 the team got its current name Tours FC.
Their first division debut came in 1980 but in 1983 they relegated. During tha period a striker Delio Onnis helped the side to advance to the semi-finals of the Coupe de France twice.
Since then the team had mixed success and were relegated to Division 2, then advanced and relegated again before finally they dropped to Championnat National in 2006/07. In the 2007/08 season Tours was runner-up at Championnat National and advanced to Ligue 2.
Stade de la Vallée du Cher, which is the team’s home ground, has a capacity of 13,500.
