Vitebsk is a football club in Belarus. It was founded in 1960 and initially had the name Krasnoye Znamya Vitebsk. Since then its name was changed several times and in 2006 they became FC Vitebsk.
Throughout the Soviet period the team mostly competed in the third division and in 1992 they entered the Belarusian Premier League. In 2003, 2005 the team played in the First League, as they were relegated and at the end of the 2011 season they faced relegation again. Since 1992 they reached the semifinals of the domestic cup that occurred in 1992/93, and in 1998 they won the Belarusian Cup.
Vitebsky Central Sport Complex is the team’s home venue. It has a capacity of 8,100 spectators.
