Brendan Rodgers (born 26 January 1973) is a footballer and manager. Nowadays Brendan is the club manager of Liverpool.
Brendan played for Ballymena United of Northern Ireland and Reading F.C., but he had to finish his footballer career at the age of 20 due to an injury.
In 1995, the Northern Irish player became the coach of the Reading F.C. youth academy.
In September 2004, José Mourinho turned to Brendan and the North Irish was put in charge of the Chelsea youth team. In 2006 Brendan was appointed manager of the reserve team.
On 24 November 2008, Rodgers was put in charge of Championship side Watford.
After the end of the season, Brendan accepted the offer from Reading. On 5 July 2009, he became the new club manager. Then, on 16 July 2010, Brendan was appointed Swansea City head coach.
On 4 March 2011, Rodgers was chosen the Championship Manager of the Month, because his club won five out of six games in February.
On 25 April 2011, Brendan secured the participation of Swansea City in the Championship play-offs. On 30 May, the club was promoted to the Premier League 2011/2012 season. On 17 September 2011, Rodgers had his first victory in the Premier League. In January 2012, Rodgers was awarded his first Premier League Manager of the Month.
