Brian James McDermott (born 8 April 1961 in Slough, England) is a manager and a former player.
He began his footballer career in 1978, joining Arsenal. McDermott also played for Fulham, Oxford United, Huddersfield Town, Cardiff City and Exeter City.
Brian started his manager career in 1996. In 2009, McDermott was appointed the head coach of Reading. In 2011/2012, the team took 1st place in the Championship and was promoted to the Premier League. Nevertheless things were not that great in the top-tier and Brian was sacked in March 2013.
In June 2013 Brian McDermott was appointed a new Leeds United manager.
