Bülent Korkmaz is a former Turkish player turned manager. He was born on 24 November 1968 in Malatya. Korkmaz started playing football at the club level in Galatasaray at the age of 11. He worked his way up into the senior squad and made his debut for the first team in 1987.
Korkmaz played for Galatasaray for 25 years and made more than 600 appearances, winning one UEFA Cup, one UEFA Super Cup, eight league titles and five domestic cups. He also recorded 102 caps for the national team of Turkey and reached the third place with the team at the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
His managerial career started in 2005 when he was introduced as assistant manager at Gençlerbirliği S.K. In 2007 he was named the head coach of Kayseri Erciyesspor and under his helm the team reached the domestic cup final.
As a manager he had spells at such teams as Bursaspor, Gençlerbirliği, Galatasaray, Baku, Karabükspor and Istanbul B.B.
