Danny Lennon is a retired footballer, currently managing St. Mirren. He was born in 1969 in Whitburn, Scotland. He began his senior playing career at Hibernian, where he played from 1987 to 1993, and then joined Raith Rovers. He helped the team to win the Scottish League Cup in 1994 and left them in 1999. After that Lennon played for such teams as Ayr United, Ross County, Partick Thistle, Gretna, Workington and the last team he played for before the retirement was Cowdenbeath.
His grandmother was from Northern Ireland, that’s why Lennon was allowed to play for the Northern Ireland national reserve team, for whom he made 4 appearances.
From 2008 to 2010 he was the manager of Cowdenbeath and earned promotion for the club twice. In June 2010, he was appointed the head coach of St. Mirren, playing in the Scottish Premier League.
