David William Moyes is a Scottish football manager.
Being a footballer, David played as a centre back for teams like Preston or Celtic. All in all, he made more than 550 appearances, became Preston assistant manager and, finally, the club manager.
On 14 March 2002, David was put in charge of Everton.
He was chosen the Premier League Manager of the Month eight times. In January 2012, David became the fourth manager to secure 150 wins in the Premier League. In the season 2012/2013 he led the club to the sixth position in the Premier League.
After the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson, Moyes was invited to coach Manchester United and took up the position. However, Moyes failed to fill in Sir Alex Ferguson's shoes in his first season in charge and was sacked ten months after the appointment.
