Hubert Fournier – a former footballer (defender) – was born on September 3, 1967 in France.
He began his football career in 1989 in SM Caen (France). He made 32 appearances in his first season and was one of the key players who helped the club save a place in the first division. In 1991, he played his first UEFA Cup match. In the 1992/1993 season he made only18 appearances in the championship and had to leave the club. In 1993-1996, Hubert Fournier played for En Avant Guingamp, afterwards – two years in Borussia Monchengladbach and same as long in Olympique Lyonnais. The last club in his playing career was FC Rouen (2002-2004).
Hubert began his coaching career in US Boulogne where he worked as assistant coach in 2004-2008. He became head coach in 2008 working in FC Gueugnon – the club where he had used to play. In 2009, Hubert Fournier took charge of Stade de Reims.
