Marcel Koller is a former Swiss football player and currently he is the head coach of the Austria national football team. He was born in 1960 in Switzerland.
Marcel Koller spent his entire career in Swiss club Grasshoppers Zürich. As a part of the team he won Swiss Cup five times and won Swiss Champion titles seven times.
Koller made 56 appearances for the Swiss national team and participated in Euro 1996.
In 1997 he took up managerial career with FC Wil. In 1999/2002 Koller headed FC St. Gallen and led them to the 1999/2000 Swiss Champion title and his team managed to eliminate English FC Chelsea from the UEFA Cup.
In the season 2002/03 he took charge of Grasshoppers Zürich and they won the title in 2003.
Koller moved to Germany in 2003, where he headed 1. FC Köln for a season and then coached VfL Bochum till 2009.
In October 2011 he was appointed the head coach of the Austrian national team.
