Sidney Moraes de Almeida Júnior, commonly known as simply Sidney, is a former Brazilian midfielder and current coach of Boa Esporte in the second division. He was born on 3 March 1977 in Ituiutaba, Brazil.
As a player Sidney featured for a myriad of clubs such as São Paulo, Sport Recife, Fluminense, Guarani, Penafiel, Braga, Trofense, Santo André and others. In 2011, he embarked on his managerial career as an assistant at Boa Esporte. In 2012, Sidney was appointed a head coach of the club and helped them to win the Taça Minas Gerais that season.
