Vagif Sadygov is a retired Azerbaijani midfielder and current coach of AZAL in the Azerbaijan Premier League. He was born on 1 April 1959 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Throughout his playing career Vagif had spells at Araz Nakhchivan, Neftchi Baku, Nistru Chişinău, Goyazan Qazakh, Nijat Mashtaga. However, he had the most fruitfull period of his professional career playing for Khazar Sumgayit in between 1989 and 1992. He scored 46 goals in 107 appearances for the club during this period.
Sadygov took up coaching in 1993. In 1995, he won the Azerbaijan Cup and Azerbaijan Supercup with Neftchi Baku. In 2001, Sadygov made his second cup success with Shafa Baku. He also had coaching spells at the helm of the Azerbaijan U21 team and senior Azerbaijan side. Since 2012, Vagif Sadygov is in charge of AZAL.
