The England national football team is one of the powerful teams, the favorite in any international competition. Though the footballers became World champions just once and never won the European Championship. The team is on the fifth place in the FIFA World Ranking. Ever since the team, having strong footballers, has not managed to perform well in international tournaments and only managed to reach quarterfinals several times.
The best team’s results at European Championship came in 1968 and 1996, when they managed to win bronze medals.
