The Tunisia national football team, nicknamed as Les Aigles de Carthage that means The Eagles of Carthage, is controlled by the Federation Tunisienne de Football. The current side is coached by Ruud Krol. Issam Jemaa is the team’s top scorer and Sadok Sassi has the most caps.
Among Tunisia’s most notable achievements is winning the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations, in 1956 and 1996 they finished as runners-up.
Tunisia qualified for four FIFA World Cup Championships, in 1978, 1998, 2002 and 2006.
