Adam Johnson is ready for a fresh start

Manchester City winger Adam Johnson now hopes he will return back to the starting 11 after missing the end of the last season.

Johnson had a regular place in the senior squad at the beginning of the season, though in the last fixtures Mancini left the player on the substitute’s bench. Johnson was not selected by Roy Hodgson for Euro 2012, the player stating ‘I really think I should have been picked’.

He adds his relations with England manager are still good, as the coached assured the player he wanted him in the squad for World Cup qualifying matches.

The defender hopes he will get the place in the City’s first team as well, claiming he will get a fresh start with the team.
