Ajax crowned Netherlands champions for the third consecutive time

Ajax clinched their third back-to-back Eredivisie title following an excellent 5-0 win over Willem II.

Frank de Boer’s men were dominating the whole affair and cruised into 2-0 lead at half-time by courtesy of Sigthorsson’s amd Eriksen’s goals. Ajax did not drop speed in the closing half, as the goals from Fischer, De Jong and Hoesen rounded off their victory and condemned Willem II to relegation.

The result allowed Ajax move four points clear of their closest rivals PSV Eindhoven and guarantee themselves 32nd title with a game to go, despite PSV’s demolition of NEC y 4-2.
