Arsenal Arteta out for three weeks

Arsenal Arteta out for three weeks

Eurosport states that Arsenal influential midfielder Mikel Arteta faces lengthy spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury at the training session ahead of the Gunners clash with Man City. Wenger had to drop the Spaniard from the squad and throw Diaby in from the start despite the fact that the Frenchman has just recovered from a long-term injury.

Arsene Wenger revealed that although Arteta is yet to undergo medical assessment, it is likely that he suffered a hamstring and will be out for up to three weeks. This is surely a major blow to Arsenal’s chances of finishing in the top four for the 15th successive season as Arteta’s creativity, experience and tactical knowledge are an invaluable asset to the team.

Arteta has made 20 appearances this season scoring 4 goals.
