Arsenal to bid for Southampton’s Schneiderlin

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is looking to add a new defensive midfielder to his squad, with Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin being on top of his wish list.

The 23-year-old has joined the Saints for £1.2 million from Strasbourg in 2008 and has been ever-present in the first team ever since. He has made 189 for the club, scoring 8 goals. Schneiderlin helped his side to win two successive promotions and certainly has what it takes to make an immediate impact at the highest level.

Arsene Wenger continues monitoring the development of the player and is likely to step up his interest in summer. However the Saints are unlikely to part ways with their valuable asset for anything less than £10 million.
