Arsenal eye move for Williams

Arsenal are looking to battle Liverpool for the signature of Swansea defender Ashley Williams.

Williams has impressed the visiting scouts with a series of excellent performances this season. The 28-year-old defender has been linked with a move to Liverpool, as the Reds manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to reunite with his former player.

However the Gunners are set to steal the player from Rodgers’ nose and the prospect of playing in Champions League next season (if Arsenal manage to finish in the top four this season) may be too tempting to refuse.
