Arsenal Gervinho on the brink of leaving the club

According to the recent reports Arsenal winger Gervinho nearing Emirates exit, after Marseille confirmed they are interested in services of the Ivorian.

The 26-year-old player joined the Gunners for £11 million from Lille in 2011, but failed to establish himself as a first-team regular. He has made 30 appearances in all competitions, scoring 11 goals and setting up another 7.

With Arsene Wenger being handed a £70 million war chest to spend on new players Gervinho could be replaced by a big-name signing this summer, with the likes Real Madrid’s Higuain and Fiorentina’s Jovetic touted as his most likely replacements.

Taking into account Theo Walcott’s prolificacy and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s quick maturing, the number of appearances for Gervinho could be severely limited next season.

Asked if they are interested in signing Gervinho, Marseille assistant coach Franck Passi said: ‘This is a profile that interests us, yes. We want flank players, with dribbling, passing and scoring and Gervinho has this profile.’

Let everyone go, Mr. Wenger :) Seems like everybody in Arsenal reckons he is better than his teammates!
