Arsenal target £22 million-rated Real Madrid Higuain
Real Madrid ready told Arsenal they are prepared to release their striker Gonzalo Higuain for £22 million.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is a long-term admirer of Higuain, who he tried to land last summer. The Gunners are reportedly ready to pay around £18 million, however La Liga giants push for a bit more.
Wenger is looking to expand his attacking options in summer, as Olivier Giroud proved he is not good enough to replace Robin Van Persie. The Frenchman considers the 25-year-old Higuain to be the perfect candidate to lead the team up front.
Arsenal are also hot on the trail of Fiorentina forward Jovetic, but are expected to face a stiff challenge from Juventus for his signature. Should the Gunners qualify for Champions League this season, they could become a much more attractive destination for the high-profile players.
