Atletico Madrid to swap Falcao for Chelsea Torres

Daily Mirror states Atletico Madrid are seriously considering the possibility of bringing their apprentice Fernando Torres back to the Vicente Calderón.

Atletico Madrid are set to offer Fernando Torres an escape route to from his nightmare at Stamford Bridge. Despite his inconsistency and poor performances at Chelsea, he is still considered an iconic figure at Vicente Calderón and would be welcomed back should he decide to move.

This means Chelsea’s hopes of signing Falcao have been given a huge boost. They now may try and force through the deal that would see Torres making the switch to Atletico with the Columbian super-star moving the other way. However Torres’ wages of £175,000 per week could be a major stumbling block.
