Bayer Leverkusen prepared to sell Andre Schurrle

Chelsea have been put on alert with the news their long-term target Andre Schurrle could be allowed to leave the club.

Schurrle has been linked with a move to the Premier League club over last 18 months, with the Blues reportedly prepared to trigger his £28.5m release clause. Chelsea are likely to offer a £12-million part-exchange offer involving Kevin de Bruyne.

Bayer Leverkusen boss Rudi Voller confirmed he is ready to consider offers for the 22-year-old German forward. He said: “We are receiving transfer enquiries every now and then. Andre Schurrle is not the only player of interest. It is obvious to have a look at those proposals. We also did that last summer.”
