Begovic remains focused on playing for Stoke City

Stoke City goalkeeper tries to shut his ears to the speculations linking him with a summer move to Manchester United and remains fully concentrated on his first-team duties at the Britannia Stadium.

Manchester United are believed to be lining up a move for the 25-year-old goalkeeper who has impressed both fans and pundits with a string of excellent performances this season. The Red Devils are considering the Bosnian as an ideal replacement to their hugely talented yet inconsistent and error-prone David De Gea who is poised to be leaving the club in summer.

The in-demand Begovic revealed it is important for him to ignore the gossips and remain focused on playing for the club. He said: “I must confess it is nice to hear these things. It is always nice to hear what others are saying, it means that you are doing a good job. But I have no time to think about this. My only concern is Stoke City as I want to be as good as I can be for my club, and for my national team. So quite simply, I really don’t have any time to think about a move or anything else.”
