Borini injury woe for Liverpool

Borini injury woe for Liverpool

BBC Sport informs Liverpool forward Fabio Borini will be out of contention for the rest of the season after suffering yet another serious injury.

Borini limped off with a dislocated shoulder just eight minutes after coming on as a substitute in a dominant Liverpool 5-0 win over Swansea. Borini was forced to come off and go straight down to the tunnel with Liverpool facing the necessity of finishing the game with 10 men.

The footballing career of the 21-year-old Italy international is plagued with injuries. Borini has joined Liverpool for £10.5 million from Roma in 2012, but has barely featured in the first-team, after suffering a broken foot that kept him on the sidelines for several months.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers revealed Borini’s injury is a major blow for Liverpool.
