Borussia Dortmund eye switch for Newcastle Cisse

Borussia Dortmund boss Juergen Klopp is weighting up a swoop for Newcastle striker Papis Cisse, should they lose Robert Lewandowski this summer.

The day after Lewandowski netted marvelous four goals to help his side thrash mighty Real Madrid by 4-1, his agent confirmed the Pole is set to leave the club at the end of the season. Klopp has been actively looking through the transfer market for a replacement since summer, when Manchester United were on the verge of signing the 24-year-old player.

And the German is thought to have found an ideal replacement to Lewandowski in Newcastle’s forward Papis Cisse, who is no stranger to a Bundesliga, having played three years for Freiburg. Newcastle will be reluctant to part ways with their top goal scorer, whose deal is due to expire in four years, and Borussia must make a proposal Alan Pardew will not be able to resist in order to lure the player to Westfalenstadion.
