Borussia Dortmund Lewandowski returned on Manchester City radar

Manchester City have revived their interest in Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski, after the sale of Carlos Tevez to Juventus.

With Carlos Tevez leaving the Etihad stadium, the Citizens are left with only two strikers at their disposal – Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko and are reluctant to expand their attacking options by launching a bid for Robert Lewandowski.

The Citizens were rebuffed a few weeks ago, when they were told that the Pole striker prefers move to Bayern Munich over the switch to the Etihad stadium.

However Dortmund made it clear they are reluctant to part ways with their valuable asset. They were particularly they frustrated with the fact their second key player would follow the steps of Mario Goetze and strengthen their bitter rivals Bayern Munich. However Manchester City believe the German giants would be more inclined to listen to offers from the clubs outside of the Bundesliga. It is believed Dortmund could be interested in selling the player for £25 million rather than losing him for free next year when his deal expires.
