Bundesliga results: Borussia and Bayern drew 1-1 in the Champions League dress rehearsal

Champions League semi-final hero Robert Lewandowski missed a penalty, while Bayern Munich’s Rafinha saw red card as the Champions’ League finalists drew 1-1 at Westfalenstadion.

Both teams fielded weakened line-ups to give their key players rest ahead of the all-German Champions League final at May 25. The game was certainly a heated affair with Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp involved into verbal tussle with Bayern’s sporting director Matthias Sammer.

Grosskreutz has broken the deadlock in the 11th minute only to see his effort cancelled out by Mario Gomez’s header in the 23rd minute. Lewandowski then saw his penalty saved by Manuel Neuer in the 60th minute. Rafinha was sent off after picking up two yellow cards.

Elsewhere Bayer Leverkusen snatched a 2-0 victory over Nurnberg to cement Champions League spot, while Eintracht Frankfurt are on course for a Europa League spot after claiming 3-1 win over Fortuna Dusseldorf.
