Arsenal remains unbeaten during the start of the season as the Gunners crash Coventry 6-1. The capital side dominated during the game and Coventry had little chances to threaten the opponent’s goal. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger claimed after the match that his team did their job well and especially praised the performance of Andrey Arshavin and Olivier Giroud who both scored in the game.

Liverpool finally celebrated a long-awaited victory, beating West Ham 2-1. The positive result will definitely encourage Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, whose start as a head coach saw one of the poorest starts in history.

The clash between Manchester United and Newcastle United marked the long-awaited return of Darren Fletcher and Wayne Rooney to the starting eleven and debut for Ryan Tunnicliffe.
