Claudio Marchisio gave Juve an early lead scoring on the 6th minute from start, two more first-half goals from Arturo Vidal and Sebastian Giovinco made in 3-0 before the half-time. Fabio Quagliarella notched fourth on the 75th minute ensuring the Bianconeri welcome win after a series of draws.
Chelsea FC 3-2 FC Shakhtar Donetsk
Chelsea claimed a narrow 3-2 win over Shakhtar at Stamford Bridge due to Victor Moses’s injury-time goal. Shakhtar’s Willian twice cancelled out Chelsea’s lead equalizing the score after strikes from Fernando Torres and Oscar on the 6th and 40th minutes respectively. Both Chelsea and Shakhtar have 7 points in their Group E.
Group F
Valencia CF 4-2 FC BATE Borisov
Valencia is on the way to the Round of 16 claiming another comfortable 4-2 win against BATE Borisov at the Mestalla on Wednesday. The Spaniards scored two within 30 minutes from start and then added two more in the second half. Two second-half goals from Bressan and Dmitri Mozolevski couldn’t save the Belarussian side.
FC Bayern München 6-1 LOSC Lille
FC Bayern München stay atop of Group F after an impressive 6-1 win over LOSC Lille. Schweinsteiger netted an opener on the 5th minute and then four more strikes from the German side followed before the half time: three out of them were scored by Claudio Pizarro, including his 16-minute hat-trick. Salomon Kalou’s second-half goal was mere consolation for Lille and they leave the competition after four consecutive losses.
