Cole’s agent in talks with Real Madrid

Daily Mail states that Ashley Cole’s agent flew to Spain to take part in negotiations with Real Madrid officials over a possible move.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich implies policy of offering one-year deals to the players over 30 years old. However Chelsea decided to undertake a major squad shakeup and are determined to ease the burden on the payroll in order to bring new players in summer. That is why the Blues have decided not to offer the 31-year-old defender a new deal and Cole is set to leave the club in summer on a free transfer along with his 34-year-old teammate Frank Lampard.

Despite the interest from big-spending Paris Saint-Germain Cole has set his sights on moving to Spain.
