DJ Campbell to miss the rest of the season
The Queens Park Rangers’ striker DJ Campbell has undergone a surgery on a broken metatarsal, and the procedure of recovery is likely to take several months.
Blackburn where DJ Campbell has been playing on a three-months loan deal from QPR has decided to terminate his contract and the player has returned to his parent club. The player will miss the remaining 8 QPR games and will not help his side in the tough battle against the relegation.
It is to be recalled that it is the second time in two years DJ Campbell breaks a bone in his foot. He said: “I had an operation on Monday. I broke my fifth metatarsal. I will be out for three months, so that is me out for the season. I have broken it before so I knew it could be the same as before. I got it checked up straight away and to my disappointment I cracked it again. It is disappointing.”
