Dortmund eye switch for Man City Dzeko

Dortmund eye switch for Man City Dzeko

Daily Mail reports Borussia Dortmund are hot on the trail of Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko.

The 26-year-old Bosnian has been linked with a move away from club as he is unhappy about his role of a ‘super-sub’. Dzeko has made 23 first-team starts (11 from the bench) and scored 12 goals for his club.

Borussia Dortmund are keen to lure Dzeko as they are set to lose their key forward Robert Lewandowski, who is likely to join one of the top Premier League clubs in summer. The German giants are prepared to table around £20 million for the player. However the Dzeko’s sky-high wages are set to be a major stumbling block during the negotiations. Should he decide joining Borussia he is likely have to take a significant pay-cut.
