Dortmund Ginczek dismissed West Ham link

Borussia Dortmund striker Daniel Ginczek said that although he is flattered with an interest expressed by West Ham he thinks the switch to Boleyn Ground could be the move in the wrong direction.

The recent speculations have linked the 21-year-old German with a move away from Dortmund after a series of impressive performances delivered while on loan at St. Pauli. The hitman has scored 12 goals in 24 appearances for the club.

The Hammers have been monitoring the development of the player for some time and are rumoured to make an official move in summer, as they are desperate to expand their options up front. However Ginczek revealed he does not plan to leave Germany in the foreseeable future, preferring to continue his career in his home country.

Her said: “It’s good to see such a club (as West Ham) pick up an interest in your services, but my immediate future will be in Germany. And I do not want to be loaned out any more. So far it was the best choice for me. Now I would like to permanently gain a foothold at a club.”
