Dortmund Goetze will be fit to face Bayern Munich

Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp revealed he is confident playmaker Mario Goetze will be fit and healthy ahead of the Champions League final against Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich, scheduled on 25th of May.

20-year-old Goetze, who agreed to join Bayern Munich in summer, limped off during Champions League semi-final second leg against Real Madrid because of thigh injury. He has been training according to a special schedule since then, and Dortmund boss Klopp is adamant player takes part in the final.

He said: “Right now it looks like Gotze could be ready for the final. His recovery is going according to plan. We will intensify training gradually during the week and the plan is for him to join the team training next week. Then we will see if it is good enough.”
