Drogba talks about challenge, not money

At the press-conference in Shanghai Didier Drogba talked about his transfer and his ambitions.

Drogba claimed that he decided to come to China because he liked the club that had ambitions and also he wanted to develop football in China. The striker stated that China was a great sports country and a challenge for him.

The forward said that the results of his new team recently had not been good, yet he reckoned that the second part of the season just started and they had time to progress and to bring the club to a better position. He added that he came to China in order to win the league, not to sit and relax.

The former Chelsea striker arrived in Shanghai on Saturday and was welcomed by dozens of fans dressed in the jerseys with his name on.

Drogba will join another European star Anelka in the club that is managed by former Argentina coach Sergio Batista. Currently Shanghai Shenhua is on the 13th place in the table.
