Europa League Group Stage Results: Matchday 6

All three English sides participating in the Europa League have progressed to the last-32.

Henderson scored the goal from the close-range in Liverpool 1-0 away win over Udinese to ensure Liverpool progress to the Europa League knockout round as the group winners. Despite the heavy 3-1 defeat against Young Boys Anzhi Makhachkala also made it through to the last-32 from the second place.

Tottenham Hotspur produced an excellent performance to beat Panathinaikos 3-1 at the White Hart Lane to earn the qualification for the knockout stage from the second place. Two goals from strikers Adebayor and Defoe helped The Spurs to a victory. Lazio beat Maribor in their last match of the Group stage and won the group.

Newcastle were unable to withstand the attacking might of their rival Girondins Bordeaux and suffered a 2-0 defeat. The Magpies qualified for the next round from the second spot, while the French side claimed the top spot of the Group D.
