Europa League results: Basel 1-2 Chelsea

David Luiz scored with virtually the last kick of the game to bring Chelsea a vital 2-1 win over Basel in their Europa League semi-final tie at Sankt Jakob-Park.

Victor Moses has opened the scoring 12 minutes into the first half with a header from Lampard’s corner. Basel leveled the game three minutes before the full time by courtesy of Schaer’s penalty. David Luiz scored wonderful free-kick deep into an injury time to put his side into driving seat ahead of the second leg at the Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have been a better side in an closely-fought game and an advantage of two away goals means the Blues will be confident about completing the job at Stamford Bridge.
