Everton, Aston Villa and West Ham to battle for the signature of Heerenveen striker

The host of Premier League clubs including Everton, Aston Villa and West Ham set to compete for securing the services of Heerenveen hitman Alfred Finnbogason.

The 24-year-old Iceland international has scored 19 goals in 22 appearances, since joining the Dutch side from Helsingborg in summer, drawing attention of the clubs all over the Europe. The transfer fee is expected to be relatively low and this is good news for Villa and Everton, having rather restrictive budgets.

West Ham are not sure whether their loanee Andy Carroll would agree to make his deal permanent and are looking for the potential replacement, while Aston Villa are facing the threat of losing their prolific striker Christian Benteke, should they be relegated this season.
